Heading back to America

After we returned back to Hanoi, we were able to get into our hotel room and clean up before our flight home. While there, I jumped online (we missed having wifi while on the cruise!) to check our flight. I about freaked out when I saw our flight was out of Ho Chi Minh City instead of Hanoi! I called Mom:
"Mom, I know it's 4am but I need your help. Did you book our flight out of Ho Chi Minh?"
"Yes..."
"We are in Hanoi!"
At this point I can practically see mom jumping out of bed and getting United on the phone to fix this problem! During this time I told Alisia it was probably better if she didn't talk to me right now because I might be mean. In my head, we had lost our flight for the next day, now we weren't going to get home until even later... I quickly jumped on the United website to check and see if there were any other options available. There was a flight at 11pm. An hour early than our intended flight and out of the CORRECT CITY!! I texted the info to mom who was on the phone with United. The problem was solved in about 10 minutes which felt like an eternity! We ate one last Vietnamese dinner and headed off to the airport to catch our flight.

Alisia had some mixed feelings...

But I couldn't wait to get home and see my kids!

Had to take a picture of or double decker airplane for Jared:

Somehow the plane ride home seemed to go pretty quickly. Maybe it's because I wasn't throwing up the whole time?? We enjoyed a few movies and slept quite a bit. Alisia is an amazing traveler and I have a feeling this will not be the last of her Vietnam service trips!

Once back in America, our first stop was Chiootle to grab some yummy American (well, Mexican!) food. Deeeeelicious!!

I couldn't wait to arrive home! Apparently the kids couldn't wait either because they were standing in the driveway and running to greet us as soon as we pulled into the driveway!
