Not exactly how I planned it...

Alisia and I set out to sleep as much as possible on the first flight (13 hours long) so that we could stay awake on the second flight (6 hours long) and try to adjust that way. Alisia brought all kinds of games that she made including a tic tac toe box and pictionary. However, about 10 hours into the first flight, I started having belly cramps. I had to make a couple of extra runs to the bathroom but I was "ok". I attributed it to eating chips and a brownie in the airplane meal which is food I don't normally eat. As time went on, it got worse and worse. I was trying to play it cool for Alisia but as we were lining up board, I grabbed her and made her come to the bathroom with me. I only made it as far as the trash can before I got sick. We still boarded and I was sick about 4 more times on the flight while Alisia fended for herself and I camped out in the bathroom.

The flight attendant took my temperature and said it was normal. She gave me electrolyte drinks and kept looking after me. Every time I thought I was getting better, it would suddenly hit me again.

Now today is our tour of the Mekong Delta and I'm afraid to eat breakfast! I'm hoping whatever I eat next stays in my belly.

To look on the bright side, it's better to get sick now than on a day where we have to be with children!

I woke up to some sort of festival happening on the street below us. Today is Ho Chi Minh's birthday celebration so I suppose we will see lots of exciting things today. Here is the view from our hotel room:
